Back Pain

Back Pain

You know it is no joke if you've experienced back pain, either occasionally or chronically. At its worst, it can drop you to the floor. Especially when chronic, it can cause depression. It can make life hard to live and even make it a struggle to be civil with the ones you love. Luckily, in most cases, by working on getting your muscles back in balance and your body in better alignment, your back pain can improve or even go away entirely.

Often, back pain is triggered by dysfunction in the hips. But once the hips regain function, the surrounding muscles can relax. If the hips can't support themselves enough, surrounding muscle groups will lock down to protect, and that protection mechanism needs to be deprogrammed. In some cases, that deprogramming starts in the upper body. If your upper back and shoulders are locked down as well, sometimes, the upper body must be addressed first to unlock the hips. It's all connected.
